About Me

Hey everyone!  My name is Nathan.  I am currently a student at Humboldt State University in Arcata, California where I am studying kinesiology.  I am particularly interested in muscle and bone development with vitamin and element supplements (as can be seen in the body building circuit).  I plan to use my degree for corporate fitness and help employees who are stuck behind a desk all day to maintain muscle and bone mass, improve cardiovascular health, and provide energy for a healthy body and mind.

I love being active outdoors; so maintaining strong, healthy bones is essential to my life.  My hobbies include frisbee golf (frolf), fishing and crabbing, hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, golfing, mountain biking, and anything that involves me being outside.  As much as I love the outdoors, I also enjoy spending my time in the gym lifting and building muscle as well as watching football, cooking, and brewing my own beer.

Calcium is an element I find to be very interesting.  How can something be so beneficial to the body yet also be so deadly?  This blog is a collection of my personal research essay and blog posts as well as various articles, peer-reviewed journals, and media updates on calcium.  Local resources are also included with information on dieticians, nutritionists, and doctors who can assist anyone if they are concerned about their calcium intake.  On a fun note, I have also chosen to include quizzes, videos, pictures, and calcium-rich recipes to be enjoyed by all who view this blog.

Please look around my page, educate yourself on calcium, and have fun with the videos, quizzes, pictures, and recipes.  If you have the desire to contact me, please select the “Contact Me” option under the “About Me” tab on the top of the page, and I will be happy to respond.  Thank you for taking an interest in calcium!
